The COVID-19 pandemic and the corresponding economic crisis undermined the health and economic wellbeing of American workers. In March 2021, President Biden signed into law the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to help stimulate the economy and deliver immediate relief to workers. The CARE Fund supported several organizations providing technical assistance to state administrators and advocates to ensure equitable implementation of these programs.
